Christmas Bumps
Christmas time means different things to different people. One thing that is observably true at Christmas time is people are more generous. It’s exciting to see.
There is a temptation by some to extend the Christmas season, and I’d respectfully submit to you that they do so at their own detriment.
Christmas time is special, in part because it only comes once a year. That scarcity serves as an impetus to encourage people to come home to visit, to focus on building relationships.
The Christmas season in my view, begins the day after Thanksgiving, and ends on New Years. Any earlier and we take from the Thanksgiving holiday, any later and we encroach on the following year.
In an effort to usher us into and out of the Christmas season I’ve made a point on Critical Thought to begin using Christmas music as bumper music starting the Friday following Thanksgiving, and ending by New Years.
I love many different genres of music. When it comes to Christmas music, my preference is for music that delivers on traditional songs in new creative ways.
Throughout the years on Critical Thought I’ve received a number of compliments on my choice of Christmas music. Many have asked for the specifics of the music I play. Ask you shall receive. Below is a list of the songs in my Christmas music rotation.
